The Programming Environment --Basics
This article will cover the basics of the programming environment, particularly for the Dev C++ by Bloodshed (scary name, isn't it?).
Compiler
First off is the compiler. After creating the program, you must compile the program. To do this, you must click the compiler button (looks like 4 squares with different color). Compiling the program will check the program for errors. If you have any errors, the compiler will notify you about it and point out the syntax error or whatever error it is. If you don't have any errors, the compiler will allow you to run the program.
If you don't compile and just hit run, the Dev C++ will tell you to run the Compiler first.

Run (not sprinting run, executing program run)
After compiling, it's time to run the program. Click the run button, which is under the execute tab. After a few seconds or so, a black screen will pop up. This is the interface that the program will use to execute commands of the program.
