This is a little thing I made for my upcoming robot. I was looking around for some strong sturdy structure for my robot, and then, I came across some chopsticks and straws. That's when it hit me, and the light in my head went on. This platform is cheap and you can also separate the microcontroller from the board so you can make some adjustments to the circuit.
Materials
Whatever you see on the screen is all you pretty much need to make this:
-Arduino, or some other chip whose width matches with the breadboard you are using
-4 Straws, cut up into small pieces
-4 Pieces of a chopstick, equal in length (make sure it can fit in through the straw)
-Glue-gun
Excluding the glue-gun, the chip, and the breadboard, this should take less than 5 minutes, and should cost practically $0, assuming that you didn't buy the straws or chopsticks from anywhere...

I wish I took pictures while actually building my platform, but I'll just tell you.
(Refer to the pictures above for some idea of how this is going to be built)
Step 1: Using the glue-gun, stick the 4 straw pieces on the board, 2 on opposite sides (see above picture)
Step 2: Attach the chopstick pieces onto the chip, 2 on opposite sides with approximately the same distance from each other so that the chopstick pieces can fit in the straw pieces easily.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT! YOU HAVE MADE YOUR OWN VERY VERY CHEAP PLATFORM :-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
